Creativity The Kills represents the music made of rigid guitar parties Hajns, an abrupt vocal of Mosshart, and rhythmical drum machine parties. At concerts of Elison sometimes plays a role and the rhythm guitarist.

When The Kills have found dear label which has agreed with them to cooperate (Domino Records) then have started record of songs. In 2002 the group release - EP «Black Rooster» has taken place. In the USA studio Dim Mak Records was engaged in distribution EP. The plate represented something absolutely another, than Hajns were engaged and Mosshart in the previous collectives, most of all reminding Lo-Fi. In a musical press young The Kills have there and then started to compare with The White Stripes, basically because of a format "boy-girl". Comparisons have become frequent, when The Kills have written down the first album «Keep On Your Mean Side» in the same studio (Toe Rag Studios) in which The White Stripes have written down the well-known plate Elephant (in the same 2003).

Positioning itself as the group resisting to the musical industry, The Kills seldom gave interview, however regularly invited the press to the closed representations. Mosshart smoked cigarets when didn't sing, being sometimes thrown with public in pair phrases, in the meantime as Jeymi silently played the parties, sometimes echoing Elison.
