«Yeah Yeah Yeahs» — American indi-fate group. Participants of group — leading vocalist Karen Ou (Karen O), drummer Bryan Chejz (Brian Chase) and guitarist Nik Zinner (Nick Zinner). Their music is a mix of a retro of styles with is heavy-fatal/pankovymi guitars, synthetic sounds, shouts, an excentric and blues vocal. They were formed in 2000 as a trio, for tour in 2006 the second guitarist Imaad Vasif has joined them (Imaad Wasif).

The minialbum with the same name which have been let out in 2001 was debut release «Yeah Yeah Yeahs». It was followed by another, «Machine», in 2002.

In 2003, the group has let out their first high-grade album, «Fever To Tell» which has received some strong reviews of critics and has dispersed more than in 750,000 copies worldwide. The third single of an album, «Maps», began to turn often on air of alternative radio stations. Video on their single of 2004 «Y Control» has been put by successful director Spajkom Johns (Spike Jonze) which has been at that time keen on the singer of collective Karen Ou. In October 2004, the group has let out the first DVD «Tell Me What Rockers to Swallow». DVD has included a concert removed in «The Fillmore» in San Francisco, all musical clips of group for date of edition DVD and various interviews.

Their second album, «Show Your Bones», has been let out on March, 27-28th, 2006. The producer of an album, Sam Spidzhel (Sam «Squeak E. Clean» Speigel), has told for MTV News that the album was planned conceptual, about a cat of Karen Ou, and should be named «Coco Beware». Hide review
